We Made it to Paris!

After a long trip that got better as it went along (amazing flight from LAX to Paris, no lines at passport control, and our bags were the second and third off the plane), we arrived at our apartment at about 1 pm and after having some coffee, grabbing a quick lunch at a nearby creperie (the Creperie Little Breizh, outstanding for the price), and doing some grocery shopping at the local Carrefour market, we decided to walk around in the filtered sunlight to help our bodies get acclimated to the time change. First we went over the Pont Neuf and along the banks of the Seine, then to the parvis of Notre Dame, then back along Boulevard St. Germain to our standard people-watching hangout, Le Danton, and finally back home. Now we are both very tired, but as I write this my body may still think it is noontime (as it is in California), so we’ll see what happens tonight sleepwise.

A few pictures follow, but more are in my Flickr album here.
